Oral Health Center adheres to a very high standard of sterility and cross-infection control. We have adopted “universal” (or standard) precautions and follow the guidelines of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures (OSAP) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Universal precautions are safety procedures established by the CDC and the ADA to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases. OSHA has specific regulations that protect employees from injury and illness in the work place. While the primary purpose of OSHA regulations is to safeguard employees, these procedures also protect our patients.
